5 Day tour in Boysun

Subject matter: Archaeology, ethnography and nature

Present-day Boysun district located in south-western part of Surkhandarya province was one of the strategically important regions, first of Bactrian state, then of Hellinistic and Tokharistan-Chaghanian, later the Temurid Empires and Bukhara Emirate. Most of Boysun district is occupied by highland and piedmont pastures.

At the foot of Boysuntau mountains there’re very beautiful and picturesque villages as Sayrob, Darband, Tuda, Machay and Kizilnaur – ancient habitats of people who had a noticeable impact on the cultural life of the entire region.

National traditions and customs, songs and dances, crafts and rituals, historical style in dressing have been preserving in Surkhandarya region almost in absolute purity, especially in a very spectacular Boysun area.

Developing this 5-day special tour for dear guests of Boysun I did my best to include the most interesting and attractive sites of this gem of Southern Uzbekistan.

Only this special tour offers you an opportunity to hike along the footsteps of Neanderthals for whom the mountain grottoes here were the most comfortable dwellings to survive.

And where again in Uzbekistan one will have the best opportunity to walk around the Hellenic fortresses of antique period besides Boysun?

And I am very excited to offer my customers visits to the most ancient strategic fortresses established in Boysuntau mountain foothills by great Hellenic kings.

By the way, if you are a big lover of ethnography or you are doing any researches on ethnography Boysun is the right place to choose.

Where else one can watch the dances of Shamans and Zoroastrians’ ritualic dances? Where else one can observe such diverse embroidery types in Uzbekistan?
