Sufi Allayar, a prominent Sufi scholar and mystical poet was born in 1644 in the Minglar village, of Kattakhurghan Samarkand and died in 1724 in Vakhshivor village, Surkhandarya region. He was educated at the Juybor Sheikhs in Bukhara where learnt Persian and Arabic languages. Later Sufi Allayar was appointed as a chief in the Customs’ Court by Bukhara Khan Abdulazizkhan. But later, he resigned from his post. Trying to spread Islamic enlightenment among the people and propagating the ideas of mysticism related to human perfection, Sufi Allayar wrote his works in Turkish and Persian languages.
